Best CPAP mask I have used in 20 years

So comfortable! This is my first full face mask and it exceeded all my expectations. Fits great, stays in place, virtually eliminated persistent leaks I experienced with other masks, minimal or no mask marks. It is difficult to know what size headgear to order since the sizing guide is only for the cushion, but that is my only complaint. Highly recommend for side sleepers!

Not for me

I tried it a couple of times and every time my tongue was stuck to the roof of my mouth. When I got it tight enough not to leak it gave me a headache.

Comfy

I like this unit. I bought a medium & it fits well and is soft and not too intrusive. I can now choose to switch between this one and my airfit P10 nose cushion small face hugger. However, this thing is a new item and I couldn't find it elsewhere cheaper. BRING down the price for us poor folk!!

Soft

Love the soft cushion. Less evasive on my face which I love. Great for a back sleeping which I’m not. I’m a side to side sleeper it causes the mask to leak a little. That’s why I only rated it 4 stars! It’s in my mask rotation now!

Great upgrade from the F30

Seems to get a better seal than the F30, even with my beard. Also like that I can now sleep on my side. The Airfit F40 maintains a seal better than the F30 in the side laying position in my opinion. I think this is so because it appears to have a smaller profile than the F30. It is still quiet like the F30 so no change there. I have also tried the AirFit F30i which is noisy. And the 30i gets even noisier when on your side.

Bad seal

It was quite comfortable until it started leaking air. I’d wake up almost every night with a high volume, noisy leak. Couldn’t get it resealed without shutting off the machine. I finally just reverted to my air touch n20. Perhaps it would have worked out: If there was an air touch option. Or if I was able to lower the max pressure on the machine. Or if the nasal hybrid portion were pillow style instead of just disappointing little holes. Or if there was a fit pack to try the other sizes of parts. Or maybe all of my aforementioned suggestions. I also had trouble using the magnetic clips. Probably because I had to have the straps so tight. The magnetic clips of the n20 work really well. I rather adore those. Finally, the pivoting valve in the elbow was difficult to use. I had to force my breathing to be very gentle upon startup else there were some noisy air blasts as the valve reacted to my heavy breathing until my breathing came to a resting rate. I must say that it was nice to not have the front of my face obstructed and the exhaust not blowing straight out in front of my nose like with the n20. I feel that the hybrid f40 is a beta model and hope to see it improved. The concept is excellent. But I just cannot keep trying this version.

Came quickly. Hard to get mask adjusted. Need to readjust every time she puts it on. Does fit real well into existing hose, pops out rather routinely. Not quality in my opinion.

I love this mask. Soft headgear and clear field of vision. Very little leakage. Overall very happy with the F40 mask so far.
