Fisher & Paykel's Oracle 452 Oral mask is an ideal solution for people who can't tolerate a nasal interface. It's also great for habitual mouth breathers or those with severe nasal problems.

SIMPLE & CONVENIENT: The Oracle 452 is simple to use and convenient to wear. The low profile design is great for people who wear glasses or like to read or watch TV in bed. Oracle is highly customizable and virtually leak free with minimal facial contact and no nasal or forehead contact required at all. It can even be worn without headgear!

SOFTSEAL MOUTHPIECE & SNAPFLAP COVER: The Oracle 452's unique SoftSeal Mouthpiece floats comfortably in the mouth helping to eliminate skin abrasions and pressure points. The SoftSeal works in concert with the SnapFlap Cover to provide a simple, superior seal and maximum comfort. Each Oracle comes with two Silicone SoftSeals so that you can select whichever size you prefer -- small or large -- to get your best fit. The Oracle is simple and convenient to use and it can even be worn with most dentures.

OPTIONAL SINGLE STRAP HEADGEAR (INCLUDED): Because the Oracle is such an easy mask to wear many people prefer to use it without headgear; however lightweight, minimalist Single Strap Breath-O-Prene Headgear is included in each package so that you can choose to use it or not depending on your preference. Single Strap headgear is highly adjustable for a personalized fit and provides a clear field of vision and freedom of movement.

ROTATING ADJUSTMENT DIAL & FLEXITUBE: The Oracle's Rotating Adjustment Dial is Infinitely adjustable to provide greater comfort and simple personalized fitting; and it's so simple to use you can even make adjustments while the mask is on! The mask's FlexiTube tubing can be rotated 360º so you can position it up, down, or two the side.

OPTIONAL NASAL PLUGS (INCLUDED): Three sizes of nasal plugs (for optional use) included in each mask pack. Nasal plugs can be used to help reduce nasal breathing and dryness when using the Oracle mask. Many people find that the nasal plugs are not required, but most users do find them helpful for the first couple of weeks when starting to use the Oracle.

Usage Information: Please note, the Oracle 452 should only be used on CPAP/BiPAP Systems that include Heated Humidification. Oracle is not recommended for use by people without teeth or dentures that can be kept in at night.

I wanted to love this

As a mouth breather I wanted to love this thing. But alas it was not meant to be. The silicon around the mouth give no where for the drools to go and I ended up just having a wet face. So back to the solo I went. 30 night guaranteed was a life saver on this one and customer service was good.

Review the Oracle 452 Oral CPAP/BiPAP Mask

First I paid extra money to receive this Thursday, Did not get this until late Saturday and the packaging was completely destroyed (looked like someone stomped the mess out of it). Thankfully the parts seemed to be in decent condition. Second, no matter what I do or how I configure this mask, my CPAP gives an air leak condition. It is a shame because I believe this would have been a perfect solution issues I'm having with my mask.

Not pleased

2 hours. I usually give a new mask a three night test before it gets a review In my mouth and out my nose, it blew the nasal plugs out. 1 plus, design also if it was used with a bipap at low pressure it may be a travel option, compact

Oral face mask is a blessing

I have had a broken nose for years so I cannot use many of the traditional styles of cpap machines. The oral mask that fits into the mouth has been a life saver. I would have given it five stars except for the fact that the straps and connecting clips leave significant lines on my face that last at least half the day. Makeup can't cover them up so I go around looking a bit ridiculous. I've tried taping layers of gauze over the straps and connectors and this helps a little, but the marks are still evident.

The only one that works for me

I'm a semi-mouth-breather with a heavy beard, and nothing else has ever been able to get a good seal. It's not perfect, though. For some reason the inner mouth seal thing needs to be aligned exactly right and not upside-down (even though it looks symmetrical), and it feels like it's going to get damaged easily over time because it's all made of soft rubber and crackable plastic (I've already reflexively bitten down hard once in my sleep and I heard it crack a little). Also the main tube is annoyingly firm and hard to flex, and the exhaust port whistles a lot (it comes with all this cottony fluff you're meant to jam into it, and add anything you want to inhale like scented oils or whatever). But I can finally sleep. Even though my mouth dries out (this thing needs more humidification than even a full water reservoir can provide). Also the noseplugs don't work at all, but I just hooked a Y-splitter up and now I use this WITH the nasal pillow apparatus I already had. Just had to block the air vents on the nasal part (otherwise air just circulates into the mouth and out the nose constantly) I mean it's rumpling and creasing my moustache somethin' fierce, but I'm actually DREAMING again.

Dosent fit as well as I had hoped

Although it works as expected . It also has drawbacks . Mainly when the pressure is at its apex the force on the lips causes numbness.

Well made but not for me

I write this as a 3 star because the product looks like it's well made but it was not for me. I could not get acclimated to the mouth only concept. It did seem to do everything as created and I thought I might be able to adapt but, as I would inhale and relax, air would exit my nose and with even a minimum of use my mouth and throat would dry with my normal humidifier settings. I just could not make the leap. It may be fine for others but not for me. CpapXchange took care of me by accepting the return and sending me another mask that would work for me. I've been buying from them for many years and average a couple of new masks a year and have always been thoroughly pleased with their customer service, pricing and guidance when I've had questions or concerns.
