Ideal Backup Power Option for Home: Pilot-Flex is manufactured with genuine LG/Samsung industrial grade rechargeable Lithium-Ion cells. The Pilot-Flex can be used as a backup power source to prevent interruption to PAP therapy in the event of a power outage. Attach the Pilot-Flex in series between your CPAP and the wall and the rest is simple... If your power goes out, due to a storm or other anomaly, Pilot-Flex will take over automatically ensuring you continue to receive restful, uninterrupted sleep therapy. When the power comes back on Pilot-Flex will automatically recharge so it's ready the next time you need it.
Great for Use on Flights: Current FAA regulations allow Sleep Apnea Therapy Devices (CPAP & BiPAP Machines) and Lithium Ion Batteries (like the one in this battery pack) to be carried onboard commercial flights; however it is always important to check with your airline prior to travel to determine exactly what requirements they have for carrying medical equipment on board.
Not Just For PAP Therapy!: This little battery truly is the ideal travel companion. Pilot-Flex has USB-A & USB-C ports which can be used to conveniently charge cellphones, tablets and other commonly used handheld devices.
Usage Information: Please read the instructions that come with your battery before use. Fully charge your Pilot-Flex battery before storage and re-charge at least once every 6 months thereafter. Failure to do this my limit future charging and/or damage the battery.
Maximizing Run Times: The Pilot-Flex will power most CPAP Machines for 1-2 nights between charges. Multiple Pilot-Flex batteries can be piggybacked to extend run times if needed. Using a heated humidifier and/or heated tubing with the battery pack will significantly reduce run times and may affect overall CPAP functionality. To help extend run times turn the heated humidifiers and heated tubing off when using a CPAP battery pack. Heated humidifiers can be used in passover -- non heated -- mode when using a battery pack. If your CPAP machine is equipped with ECO, Power Saver, or Airplane Mode activate it to extend battery life between recharges. Comfort features -- like C-Flex, A-Flex and EPR -- and leaks can increase power drain. To maximize battery run times reduce leaks and disable comfort features if possible.
