Leaks constantly

The mask leaks constantly and I threw it away.

Very comfy pillow mask

I like my Hybrid pillow mask with headgear. They are easy to separate each part after use and clean. The hybrid mask doesn't cover close my eyes and only cover below my nose and mouth so I watch TV and do my reading comfortably. I like them so much!

Excellent

First, the seller, I love that CPAPX gives you options for payment. I use PayPal whenever I can, makes me feel more secure ordering from a company with whom I am not familiar. I paid a bit extra to have it expedited and received it within the time frame given. Well packaged, all parts included and in new condition. I would definitely purchase from this company again. As to the mask, I was looking for one that would not put pressure on my eyes (my original mask does) because I had upcoming cataract surgery. Receiving it a few days earlier was great, because it allowed me to play with the different sized parts and the headgear. It comes with 3 sized seals and nose pieces, one frame, and one headgear. I ended up using the medium seal with the large nose pieces (I have larger nostrils so it enables a better seal, and it also allows more air in and out, a definite plus). I did end up cutting the piece that attaches the 2 nose pieces together because I was getting sore, but it might have been from something else; I think when I purchase a replacement I will try keeping them attached together, because without that bridge I have to turn them just right to make sure they fit properly in my nostrils. I soak the frame, seal, and nose pieces in a bowl of soapy water every day and then rinse well and let air dry. Easy peasy. I put the headgear in a fine mesh laundry bag and throw it in with my other laundry, but air dry it as well. Wouldn't take much just to hand wash, but I was used to doing my other headgear in the bag. I do use strap covers to reduce the lines on my face, but using a liner (for the seal) just made it float around on my face. Last night I put a small strip of cotton (from a new white t-shirt) on my upper lip, which really helped because I was getting quite sore there. I also realized that the chin piece is reducing the pressure that I had from my other mask that pressed against my lower teeth (and resulted in one of my lower front teeth turning inward, so much for the braces I had in high school), but I now have pressure just under my nose, which can get a bit painful if the mask isn't sitting correctly. I'll have to work to see if I can find a solution for both. The headgear has 3 points of adjustment, which is nice. I had to wrap a cut up sponge in a cotton strip and wrap it around the back on my headgear at the back to keep from getting neak pain (which was starting to spasm because I also had to keep the headgear so tight to keep down the face farts). While I don't have that issue, for whatever reason, with this headgear, I am still struggling to get the right fit. Had it pretty perfect until I readjusted to allow for the strap covers and seal liner which messed it all up. Got it mostly correct again, but I'm still adjusting. I had to do that throughout the week with my old headgear anyway so it's noting new. I may look around for a universal headgear just to see if there is any improvement. If not, I won't be undoing anything when I wash it. Still and all, it's an improvement over the succession of masks I've used over the past decade or so, and a good solution for those, like me, who have a high bridge on their nose (which was really painful with some other masks). I am going to see if my insurance will cover it in the future; I only paid for it myself this time because I really really needed this type of mask (or I would have had to go without using my cpap for a week after each surgery), and I only saw one other one like it, but it was being discontinued. All and all I am really pleased with this mask, I just need to fine tune it at this point.

NOLEAKSALLOWED

Cheap rubber, nasal pillows don’t fit properly in the mask. Doesn’t seal no matter what action is taken .

Nasal pillows are too soft!

Because the nasal pillows are so soft they either smoosh down and close off or the bend too easily and don't seal.
